A dawn-to-dusk bandh called by two political parties demanding repoll in both the Lok Sabha seats and removal of CEO, evoked mixed response in Tripura today.

Markets and shops were mostly closed except in South Tripura district. Movement of vehicles was thin.

However, attendance in government offices and civil secretariat was normal, but most of the banks and financial institutions were closed.

Most of the schools and colleges were already closed for summer vacation.

According to reports from South Tripura district everything remained normal and life continued uninterrupted.

No untoward incident was reported from any part of the state.

The bandh was called by BJP and Tripura Pragatishil Gramin Congress demanding repoll in both the parliamentary constituencies and removal of Chief Electoral Officer Ashutosh Jindal for his alleged partisan role in conducting elections in the state.
