Triton Solar to invest $100 mn to set up facility in Karnataka

US-based nanotechnology company Triton Solar will invest USD 100 million for setting up a nano technology powered solar panel manufacturing facility in Karnataka.

Karnataka government today said it has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Triton Solar in this regard.

The LOI was signed by Ratna Prabha, Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Commerce and Industries Department and Himanshu B Patel, Founder & CEO, Triton Solar in New York, under the aegis of 'Invest Karnataka 2016' in the presence of Large and Medium Scale Industries Minister R V Deshpande, a release said.

"We are very happy that Triton Solar will make in Karnataka for the world. The investment is likely to create 250 jobs in the state," Deshpande said.
 

The product portfolio of Triton Solar consists of high quality and highly efficient printable solar cells, printed lighting and printed batteries.
