Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat today described the BJP's impressive poll performance in Karnataka as the triumph of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's development model.
Rawat joined in the celebrations at the BJP's state office after the results of the Karnataka assembly polls were announced.
"Modi has presented a model of development before the world. Today, India is the fastest growing economy leaving behind countries like China and France. In the last four years, there has not been a single allegation of corruption against the government."
"Apart from being a recognition of all this, the BJP's impressive poll performance is an indication of what is going to happen in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls," he said.
He also attributed the impressive poll performance to party president Amit Shah's electoral strategies. "It reinforces his reputation as a great strategist," he said.
A host of party leaders, including pradesh BJP president Ajay Bhatt, Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, pradesh party general secretary Naresh Bansal and spokesman Munna Singh Chauhan, offered sweets to each other.
