Triumph sells 3,500 superbikes in India

British motorbike major, Triumph Motorcycles today said that it has sold 3,500 superbikes of 500 CC and more capacity and will further enhance its presence by opening stores in four more cities in the country.

"We have started business in India in November 2013. So far we have sold 3,500 superbikes in the country," Triumph Motorcycles India's Managing Director, Vimal Sumbly told reporters.

"At present we have 14 dealerships in the country and in the coming days we are planning to open new such facilities in Goa, Bhubaneshwar, Lucknow and Guwahati," he said.

Sumbly informed that the annual market of superbikes in the country has rose to 10,000 units.
