Trivedi, a 1977 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre, is at present Secretary, Ministry of Mines. The vacancy arose following retirement of Bhupinder Prasad, IAS (UT:1976).
R H Khwaja, a 1976 batch IAS officer of Andhra cadre, will be the new Secretary in Mines Ministry, the Department of Personnel and Training said in a release today.
Parvez Dewan, IAS (JK:77), currently Secretary, Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs has been posted as Secretary, Ministry of Tourism in place of R H Khwaja, the release said.
The decisions were approved by the Appointments Committee of Cabinet.
Meanwhile, Ramesh Abhishek, a 1982 batch IAS officer of Bihar cadre, currently Member, Forward Markets Commission under the Department of Consumer Affairs has been appointed as Chairman, Forward Markets Commission in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
