TRS and BJP members stalled the proceedings of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly for the third consecutive day today in support of the demand for separate Telangana.

The TRS and BJP members went into the well of the House soon after the session began for the day and raised slogans demanding that the Assembly pass a resolution favouring formation of separate Telangana state.

Speaker N Manohar appealed to the members to resume their seats and let the House function smoothly.

As the members continued to press for their demand, he adjourned the House for half-an-hour. The scene was similar when the House reassembled. The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members continued to raise slogans, prompting the chair to adjourn the House again for 30 minutes.

The Budget Session of the Andhra Pardesh Assembly resumed on Monday, but the House could not transact normal business on account of the demands being raised by TRS and BJP.
