Telangana Rashtriya Samiti (TRS) today decided to suspend its Medak MP M Vijayashanti for indulging in anti-party activities.

TRS President K Chandrashekhar Rao took a decision to this effect after unanimous opinion expressed by the party politburo on the matter, TRS sources said.

The party had earlier also charged Vijayashanti with indulging in anti-party activities.

Party sources said a show cause notice would be served on her asking her why she should not be suspended.

Vijayashanti, a popular south Indian actress represents Medak in the Lok Sabha, while K Chandrashekhar Rao the other party MP from Mahaboobnagar.

TRS sources said that there was a talk that Vijayashanti may not be fielded from Medak in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

She has also reportedly met senior Congress leaders in Delhi in the last few days apparently to switch her alliances to the ruling party.
