Amid speculations of early assembly polls in Telangana, the ruling TRS has drawn up plans to organise 100 public meetings across the state in 50 days.

TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is expected to tour the state, party sources said Tuesday.

The first of the proposed public meetings would be held at Husnabad near Karimnagar on September 7, they said.

While the state assembly polls are originally scheduled to be held simultaneously with the Lok Sabha elections next year, speculation has been rife that the ruling TRS may go for early elections to cash in on the perceived positive atmosphere prevailing for it in the state.

Addressing a public meeting of the party on Sunday last, Rao had said the ministers and party leaders had entrusted him to take a decision on the issue in the interest of people.
