Objecting to some of the recent comments of Union Ministers Ghulam Nabi Azad and Vayalar Ravi on the Telangana issue, TRS today alleged that the two Congress leaders have hurt the sentiments of people of the region.

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K Chandrasekhar Rao, who spoke at a gathering of women here, referred to the comments of Azad, who had said a month may not exactly mean 30 days for taking a decision on a sensitive issue like Telangana.

He also criticised Ravi for saying recently that taking a decision on a contentious issue like Telangana is not as easy as preparing a 'dosa'.

"The Telangana women would grind Congress like 'dosa' batter and throw it out," the TRS chief said.

He wondered why the Telangana Congress leaders were continuing in the party though the people's sentiment has been hurt on the statehood issue.

The Telangana Congress leaders should "join the fight for a separate state", Rao maintained.
