TRS govt has not fulfilled election promises: Jaipal Reddy

The TRS government in Telangana has not fulfilled its election promises in the three years since it has come to power, senior Congress leader S Jaipal Reddy alleged here today.

"KCR (Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao) has not fulfilled any promise. Any promise. He says 'Mission Bhagiradha', to supply drinking water to every households. He says he will not seek votes if does not give water to every household.

"You cannot give (water) and you should not ask for votes," alleged Jaipal Reddy.

The former Union Minister was speaking at a one-day training camp for Congress functionaries organised by the party.
 

State Congress president N Uttam Kumar Reddy attacked the ruling TRS, alleging that only one family benefited after Telangana was formed.

Former Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao voiced opposition to the TRS government's proposal to build a new Secretariat buildings complex.
