Amid speculations about early polls to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), the ruling TRS in Telangana on Thursday decided to give special focus on enrolment of party members in the city.
TRS working president K T Rama Rao, who held a meeting with ministers and party MLAs from the city, told them to complete the membership process by August 10, the party sources said.

Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Malkajgiri and Chevella, they said.
Rama Rao suggested that the TRS governments welfare and development programmes be taken to the people, the sources said.
It was noted that the Kaleswaram project on Godavari river would ensure there was no problem vis-a-vis water supply in the city.

The TRS working president asserted the party was a formidable force in Hyderabad and urged that the membership drive be utilised to further strengthen the party, they said.
On the occasion, Rama Rao spoke to some of the new members on phone and told them that the party provided insurance to all those who enrolled as members.
State minister T Srinivas Yadav told reporters that Rama Rao has been requested to visit different residential colonies in the city.
According to some media reports, there is buzz among ruling TRS circles that GHMC polls would be held this year-end, 14 months ahead of schedule.
TRS had won 99 wards out of the total 150 in the polls in 2016.
