Acting on a tip-off, a police team caught the truck last night near Hero Honda crossing on National Highway No 8, police said.
However, the occupants of the truck managed to fled from the spot, they said.
Out of the 25 cattle, five of them were found to be dead, police said, adding that further probes are on.
