Truck carrying crackers collides in Rajsamand, two killed

Two persons were killed and one was injured when a fire crackers laden truck collided with a container and burst into flames at Phutia-Khera village in Rajsamand district, police said today.

The incident happened last night due to which massive traffic jam was witnessed at the national highway 8.

The deceased have been identified as 28-year-old Shaitan Singh, and 26-year-old Taru Singh, the police said adding one of them was driver of fire-cracker loaded truck.

The seriously injured has been identified as Bhagchand and he was admitted to the Rajsamand government hospital, they said.

The fire crackers loaded truck was on its way to Ahmedabad when it collided head on with the container truck, and both vehicles caught fire, the police said.
 

Fire tenders were called to douse the fire, and police had tough time in getting the traffic jam cleared, that lasted whole night, on the national highway number 8 after the mishap, they said.
