A 45-year-old woman was crushed to death and two others injured here today when a truck driver lost control and rammed into a pavement where the victims were sleeping, police said.
The accident occured when Rathinakumar who was at the wheels of the sand laden truck lost control and rammed into a pavement in Vyasarpadi near here where several residents had been sleeping.
The lorry was bound for MKB Nagar from Vyasarpadi. While Anjalai (45) was spot dead, two others, a father-son duo Kuppan (50) and Vadivel (24) were injured seriously.
All the victims were rushed to a nearby hospital.
