TruJet to connect more cities from Chennai

: Regional carrier TruJet planned to launch flights to Salem and Kadapah from Chennai in the next two months, a top company official said here today.

The airliner today launched Chennai-Mysuru service under the Centre's ambitious UDAN regional connectivity scheme.

"We are starting Chennai-Mysuru service from today. We are also starting service in the Hyderabad-Bellary route. Chennai-Mysuru service will be everyday", TruJet, promoted by Turbo Megha Airways, Managing Director, V Umesh said.

He said the company would start services to Salem and Kadapah by November first week. It was awaiting permission for operating services to Hosur from here, he added.
 

To a query on when the services were expected to begin in he said "By November first week,".

On expansion of fleet size, he said the company would add one more aircraft taking the total to five (from current four) and another two over the next few months.

"Totally we will be having eight. All (aircraft will be) ATRs ", he said, adding the pricing of seats will be upto Rs 3,000.

TruJet has already commenced services on the Hyderabad-Kadapah, Hyderabad-Nanded and Nanded-Mumbai routes.
