Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton has termed as "outrageous" and "offensive" the sexiest remarks of her Republican counterpart Donald Trump against a woman TV anchor, saying his campaign is all about entertainment.

"What Donald Trump said about Megyn Kelly (Fox TV anchor) is outrageous, but what the rest of the Republicans are saying about all women is also outrageous," Hillary said in her remarks at a campaign event in New Hampshire yesterday.

They brag about slashing health-care funding, they say they would force women who have been raped to carry their rapist's child and fail to put forward proposals that would help women earn equal pay, she said.

The former Secretary of State and the First Lady was referring to the comments made by Trump about Kelly which was an apparent reference to her menstrual cycle.

"I think the guy went way overboard. Offensive, outrageous, pick your adjective," Clinton told reporters following a campaign event here focused on making college more affordable.

During the first primary debate, Trump said Clinton came to his wedding because he had donated a lot of money to the Clinton foundation.

"With Hillary Clinton, I said, 'Be at my wedding,' and she came to my wedding. You know why? She had no choice! Because I gave," Trump said in response to a question at the Republican presidential primary debate.

Hillary gave an impression that she did not take Trump seriously.

"It's entertainment. It's all entertainment. I think he's having the time of his life. Getting up on that stage, you know, being up on that stage, saying whatever he wants to say, getting people excited, both for and against him," Clinton said.

Meanwhile, Trump said he thought Kelly should offer him an apology for asking unfair question.

"She should really be apologising to me, you want to know the truth. And other candidates have said that," Trump told MSNBC in an interview.

Trump tweeted late last night that he had spoken to the Fox News chairman Roger Ailes and was assured that he would be treated fairly on the news network.

Trump has been fire after he made controversial comments about Kelly in an interview with the CNN.

"You can see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever," Trump had said, suggesting that the woman presidential debate moderator was tough on him because she was menstruating.
