TSCBOA to conduct training for drivers on Feb 7

Telangana State Cabs and Bus Operators Association (TSCBOA) and Cyberabad Police will jointly conduct a training programme for drivers operating in the twin cities including Cyberabad limits .

The 'Training and Appraising the Drivers Programme' will be launched at Cognizant Technology Services (CTS) premises at Gachibowli on February 7 by Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand.

Under the programme, nearly 25,000 drivers will be imparted training on key issues related to safety and security of passengers, especially those belonging to the IT sector, TSCBOA President Syed Nizamuddin said a release yesterday.

Nearly 1,500 drivers, working for different private cab operators, will participate in the inaugural programme. Experts on different subjects would brief them about the existing laws, new rules and their role in ensuring safety and security of passengers.
 

Similar training programmes will be conducted for all drivers in batches of 700- 1,000 in different IT companies in Cyberabad limits, it said.

"An IT company cannot function without having an organised fleet of vehicles and disciplined drivers who pick up and drop its employees on scheduled time, in safety and comfort. We will provide all drivers an opportunity to speak out their concerns and issues in order to offer solutions," he said," he said.

Topics during the training will include proper documentation, vehicle maintenance, traffic rules, personal hygiene and women security among others, it said.
