TSG's football school to officially open in Mumbai on Aug 16

TheSports Gurukul (TSG) has launched the TSG Football School in association with Eric Benny Sports Management (EBSM) and the Deutsches Fussball Internat (DFI) of Germany.

TSG co-founder Prasad Kothari today told reporters that the school would be officially opened on August 16.

TSG co-founder Jay Shah, founder of EBSM Eric Benny and football coaches were present on the occasion.

Shah said that the school would initially operate in threecentres Santacruz, Wadala and Chandivali.

Once the final selectionand scouting is done, we have plans to hold our training programmes in 15 centres from Colaba to suburban Kandivali, added Shah.

Benny said, "Our objective isvery simple as we want to create a pyramid and would work with about 1000 children as we want to create an opportunity for many childrenand then work with the best of the best."

"We have designed special training programmes that will help us empoweryouth to accelerate their football career. The objective is to provide the best football training and help educate coaches as well as toconsult and mentor the youth of the nation," Benny added.
