Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, which manages the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswra at Tirumala, today made gold ornaments worth about Rs two crore to its Sri Kalyana Venkateswra Swamy temple in Srinivasa Mangapuram, 12 Kms from here.

The Srinivasa Mangapuram temple, which was declared as ancient monument of national importance by Archaeological Survey of India decades ago, has been governed by TTD since 1981, temple sources told PTI.

The ornaments weighing about 3.75 kgs offered to the temple include 'Nagabharanams' for upper arms and 'Surya Katari' sword, the sources said.

TTD has been managing more than a dozen ancient temples in around Tirupati, sources said.

The ornaments would be adorned to the deity from tomorrow, they added.
