A show cause notice would be issued to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams chief priest A V Ramana Dikshitulu for levelling allegations in the media against administrators of the hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara, TTD board sources said today.

Anil Kumar Singhal, Executive Officer of TTD that governs the hill temple, told reporters that the board at its meeting took a decision to seek an explanation.

As per the decision, a show cause notice would soon be issued to Dikshitulu, he added.

TTD Board Chairman Putta Sudhakara Yadav said the TTD resolved to fix the retirement age of the priests working in all TTD-run temples, including the Tirumala shrine, at 65 years with immediate effect.

The decision was taken as some priests have been working even after crossing 65 years, he added.

Speaking to reporters, Ramana Dikshitulu said he along with three other priests in the TTD would move the court if their services are affected by the decision.
