'Tuluni' the biggest festival of Sumi Naga community was today celebrated with pomp and splendor.
Nagaland Governor P B Acharya and Chief Minister T R Zeliang greeted members of the Sumi community on the occasion of 'Tuluni' festival.
The governor in his message hoped that the festival would bring prosperity, peace and serenity to all people in the state.

The main celebration, which was organised by Kohima Sumi Hoho, was marked by prayers and offerings to Litsaba the deity of fruitfulness who gives life and protects the crops.
Dances, folk songs and traditional games competition marked the celebration besides community feast.
The chairman of Kohima Village, believed to be the second largest in Asia, Neivor Rutsa said the community should maintain the Naga tradition and culture to preserve its own identity.
He also said the spirit of fraternity should spread to each corner of the Naga society and irged the people to work for peaceful coexistence in the state.
Minister for Roads and Bridges, Y Vikheho Swu who is the 'father of the celebrations' urged Nagas to talk of the welfare of the general people and not just about a particular tribe.
