:Leader of the opposition and AINRC founder N Rangasamy today mounted a scathing attack on the Congress government here for 'differences' with the Lt Governor and revolting against the Centre and its policies.
"The current turf war with the Lt Governor and also protest against the Centre's schemes and programmes have hit the development of Puducherry', he told AINRC workers on the party's seventh foundation day here.
Rangasamy, also a former Chief Minister, alleged that several important schemes launched during the previous AINRC rule here, like the free rice scheme, have been kept in cold storage.

Pointing out that Puducherry is a union territory and so should have a cordial understanding with the Centre, he said the Congress government was quite often crossing swords with the NDA government at the centre, which only obstructs the development of Puducherry' he said.
He claimed that people were yearning for AINRC to stage a comeback to power.
AINRC has eight legislators on its side in the opposition block in the Puducherry Assembly.
