Turmeric and jeera prices fell by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today owing to sluggish demand from retailers and stockists at prevailing higher levels amid adequate stock positions.
Weakening trend in futures market also put pressure on the select spice prices.
Turmeric prices fell by Rs 200 to Rs 7,900-12,000 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 155-190, black pepper (per kg) 600-750, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,780-1,810 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 2,000-2,100.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 800-860, cardamom (colour robin) 800-820, cardamom bold 810-830, cardamom extra (bold) 940-990 and cloves 780-850.
