Turmeric and jeera prices rose by Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today on fall in supplies from producing belts against higher demand from stockists and exporters.
Besides, a firming trend at futures market supported the uptrend.
Turmeric prices were up by Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 8,500-13,500 per quintal.

Traders said fall in supplies from producing belts against increased demand from stockists and exporters mainly pushed up turmeric and jeera prices.

Ajwain (per kg) 155-200, black pepper (per kg) 730-925, betel-nut (kg) 270-320, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,630-1,680 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,750-1,870.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 775-825, cardamom (colour robin) 675-695, cardamom bold 695-725, cardamom extra (bold) 895-925 and cloves 710-810.
