Tutul back in lead at Usha IGU Delhi juniors

Tutul Ali returned to the top of the leaderboard with a steady even-par 70 that gave him a one-shot lead over Mohan Sardar (72) in the Usha-IGU Delhi junior Golf Championships at the Qutub Golf Course here today.

Tutul, who held a share of the lead on the first day, is ahead despite a bogey-bogey finish and he now five-over 215.

Mohan Sardar is at 216, while Manu Gandas (70) also shot even par and moved to third place at 217.

Overnight leader, Rohan Rana (76) had a tough day with no birdies through the round. He was tied at fourth with Piyush Sangwan (69), who shot under-par, Shubham Narain (71) at 219.
 

Tutul, nephew of former Indian Open champion Feroz Ali, had four birdies, three of which came in the stretch between eighth and 12th and set the tone for him. Tutul had four bogeys, two of them on last two holes.

The day's best score, however came from Anant Singh Ahlawat (68), who had five birdies against three bogeys. It was also the best card of the week.

Kartik Sharma kept his lead intact in Category B with a round of 75, including a double bogey on par-5 16th hole. He is at 219, and in overall Combined Category A-B, he was fourth.

Arjun Puri (74) was lying second, seven shots behind leader Kartik. Arjun Prasad (74) was third at 227.

Tutul Ali will play with Mohan Sardar and Manu Gandas in the final round, while Category B leader will go out with Shubham Narain and Piyush Sangwan.
