TV Today Q3 net up 40% at Rs 36.9 crore

TV Today Network today reported a 40.09 per cent increase in standalone net profit at Rs 36.9 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 26.34 crore in the same period last fiscal, the media firm said in a filing to BSE.

Net sales during the quarter under review stood at Rs 148.68 crore, up 17.89 per cent, as compared to Rs 126.11 crore in the year-ago period.

Television broadcasting revenue in the third quarter grew 20.34 per cent to Rs 147.64 crore, while revenue from radio broadcasting declined 49.37 per cent to Rs 2.02 crore, it said.
 

In a separate filing, TV Today Network said Kalli Purie Bhandal has also been appointed as a whole-time director on the Board of the company today.

"Kalli Purie Bhandal is daughter of Aroon Purie, Managing Director of the company and sister of Koel Purie Rinchet, Non-executive Director of the company," it added.

Shares of TV Today Network ended at Rs 290.65 apiece, up 1.06 per cent, from previous close on BSE.
