In yet another attack on journalists in Pakistan's biggest city, unknown motorcycle borne gunmen attacked a media van of a private news channel here today.
Police said the gunmen fired at least six shots at the Digital Satellite News Gathering (DSNG) van of the Samaa TV channel in the Liaquatabad area of Karachi and then managed to flee from the scene.
However, no one was injured in the attack.

Sindh Home Minister Sohail Anwar Khan Sial said police has been ordered to step up investigations as this was the second attack on a DSNG van of a television channel this month.
The minister directed Inspector General Sindh Police Ghulam Hyder Jamali and Additional Inspector General Karachi to submit a report on the incident and called for the immediate arrest of the culprits.
The incident revived bitter memories of another attack earlier this month when unidentified men opened fire on a DSNG van of Geo television network in Bahadurabad area killing a technical engineer and injuring another.
A senior journalist Aftab Alam, who had previously worked for Geo News and Samaa, was also gunned down by unknown assailants near his home in North Karachi last week.
Last year three employees of the Express channel were killed when gunmen opened fire on their DSNG in the Nazimabad area.
One of Geo's leading anchors Hamid Mir was also attacked last year in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi.
