TV18 Broadcast Ltd, a Reliance Industries Ltd group company, today reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 95.47 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015.
The company had registered a net profit of Rs 35.90 crore in the same quarter last fiscal.
Total income from operations during the quarter stood at Rs 629.74 crore as compared with Rs 565.29 crore in the year-ago period.
Meanwhile, the company informed that its results were not comparable with the previous period as Equator Trading Enterprises had become wholly owned subsidiary.
"Hence, the consolidated results of the current period include the results of these subsidiary companies. Eenadu Television had also become an associate with effect from January 22, 2014... To this extent, the results of this period are not comparable with the corresponding previous period," it informed.
For the financial year 2014-15, TV18 Broadcast had a consolidated profit of Rs 44.53 crore. It had reported a profit of Rs 103.63 crore in the previous fiscal.
Total consolidated income from operation for the year under was Rs 2,318.39 crore. It was Rs 1,968.12 crore in FY 2013-14.
Shares of TV18 Broadcast were trading at Rs 40.65 per scrip on the BSE, up 11.37 per cent from its previous close.
