TVS Group employees undertake relief work in flood-hit areas

: TVS Group today said its employees have undertaken relief work along with the local government authorities in water-logged areas in the city and its neighbourbood.

About 100 employees under the Srinivasan Services Trust, the CSR division of the TVS Motor and Sundaram Clayton distributed 38,000 food packets in low lying areas of Chennai, a company statement said.

The relief work would be undertaken in such areas over the coming days, it said.

Following the onset of North East Monsoon several areas in Tamil Nadu, Chennai and its outskirts remained flooded affecting normal life.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a relief package of Rs 940 crore to flood-hit Tamil Nadu to undertake relief and rehabilitation purposes.
