The Aurangabad police raided two spa establishments at a local mall today and arrested 14 women for indulging in prostitution.

Three customers were also nabbed during the raids on Antara and Stress Hub spas, police said.

DCP Deepali Dhate Ghadge said that the raids were conducted simultaneously after a tip-off that the two spa establishments were indulging in prostitution.

She said that seven women employees of Antara and five of Stress Hub were detained and all the women are from Thailand. The women managers of both spas were also arrested, the officer said.

She said that some bouncers employed by the spas tried unsuccessfully to obstruct the police during the raid.

A case had been registered with the MIDC Cidco police under sections 3,4,5,6 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act, the officer said.
