As many as 20 children were rescued from a brick kiln in the district during a raid, an official said today.
During the raid conducted yesterday, the children were found to be working in sordid conditions, Assistant Labourer Commissioner Anil Singh said.
He said a notice has been issued to the owners and investigation is underway.
The children were produced before the child welfare committee and have been sent back to their families, Singh said.
