Two absconding accused arrested in Rajasthan

Two persons, who were wanted in different cases, have been arrested from Chomu Pulia area of the city today and arms and live cartridges were seized from them, police said.

The Special Operations Group of Rajasthan Police has arrested Virendra Singh Charan, who was wanted in a murder case in Churu district and was evading arrest for the last two years, a police official said.

Nearly a dozen severe criminal cases are lodged against him, the ADG of ATS and SOG, Umesh Mishra, said.

Charan was plotting a crime with Devendra Singh Shekhawat of Deedwana, another wanted criminal, who was also arrested from Chomu Pulia. Shekhawat was on the run after being released on parole, the officer said.
 

The duo were produced before a court here which sent them to two days in police custody, police said.
