Two accused arrested in murder case

Three days after a 35-year-old man was shot dead on a railway station road here, two out of the seven accused were arrested today, police said.

Shailendra Shukla and Jitendra Shukla were arrested and sent to jail, they said.

35-year-old Sandip Singh, a resident of Gangaganj, was killed and his body was recovered in a room on the third floor of a house at the station road, Circle Officer Amethi, Ravi Kumar Chaturvedi said.

An FIR against seven persons including Brijendra Shukla, president of Amethi block unit of Congress was lodged in this connection, he added.

Efforts are on to nab the other accused, he said.
