Two Africans held with one kilo cocaine

Acting on a tip-off, a trap was laid near Bharat petrol pump at Wadi Bunder area this morning, when two suspects reached there in a Santro car, an official from Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) said.

The two suspects, identified as Jey Charlie Steven (38) from Zambia and Babajide Duro George (47) from Nigeria, were intercepted, when Steven, who usually operates in Delhi, tried to escape.

Steven and George were caught and upon frisking, one kg of cocaine worth Rs 60 lakh, was found in their possession, the official added.

The two were booked under relevant sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the official said adding that the probe was on to identify the buyer.
