Two airports at Hisar and Karnal districts would be completed within three years from start of work, Rohtak MP, Deepinder Singh Hooda said today.
The state government had applied for setting up of five civil airports at Hisar, Bhiwani, Narnaul, Karnal and Pinjore, out of which the Centre has approved two, he said, adding that like Gurgaon and a large portion of southern Haryana, the two airports would boost investment opportunities in the state.
Deepinder Hooda said he had earlier met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and raised the demand of an airport at Narnaul and a cargo terminal between Hansi and Meham along with the two civil airports.
Hisar airport would be set up over an area of 490 acres and Karnal airport would be setup over 499 acres of land and both facilities would be equipped with modern facilities related with civil aviation industry, he said.
