Two and half ft wooden idol of Goddess Durga washed ashore

A two and half feet high wooden idol of Goddess Durga, washed ashore at nearby Mandapam, was recovered today, police said.

Some fishermen who saw the idol had kept with them and police, on information, rushed there and recovered it.
