Two arms smugglers held with weapons

Two arms smugglers were arrested today from a village in Khagaria district today and a large number of illegal weapons were seized from them, the police said.

The seized arms included a rifle, two pistols of .315 bore, two country-made guns, two pen-shaped pistols and four unfinished unfinished pistols, Khagaria Superintendent of Police Kim said.

A large number of gun parts and manufacturing equipment were also recovered from the two.

Kim said police teams raided Rasalpur Tola village under Gogri police station following a tip-off. The arrested persons have been identified as Mohammad Shamsuddin and Zafar Alam of the village.
 

She said the arms smugglers were preparing to send the weapons to somewhere.
