Two Army jawans held for robbery

: Two serving and one dismissed Army jawans were arrested on charges of robbery and four pistols, two cars, one motorcycle, cash and other valuables were recovered from them.

The trio, indetified as Sahib Singh, Malkit Singh and Bikramjit Singh, were arrrested along with the weapons while travelling from Tarn Taran to Beas, said Manmohan Singh, SSP, Amritsar (Rural).

Among them, Sahib Singh is serving in the Army, but is presently absent from duty, Malkit Singh is a serving personnel in the 6th Light Infantry and is posted at Arunachal Pradesh and Bikramjit Singh was earlier dismissed from the force, he said.
 

Cases under section 307, 392, 34, 411 of IPC and 25/54/59 of Arms Act have been registered against the three at Beas police station, the SSP added.
