Two persons were arrested here and about 70 kg ganja seized from them by sleuths of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), NCB sources said today.
Based on specific information, a team of NCB, Bhubaneswar, intercepted a vehicle car at Vani Vihar Square area here on Saturday and found 70 kg ganja from the vehicle, NCB said in a release here today.
Two persons, who had planned to deliver the ganja to a person of Bihar, were arrested, it said adding the contraband is worth around Rs five lakh in illegal market.

The seized contraband was hidden inside the vehicle. Inquiry is being conducted with the arrested persons to find out the drug trafficking network behind it, it said.
The two arrested persons were identified as Mohan Chandra Sahoo of Kaniha area in Angul district and Sanjya Kumar Moharana of Sarua in Khurda district.
It is learnt that the two arrested persons are involved in drug trafficking as partnership business since long back and they have wide network with other states like West Bengal, Bihar and Delhi where they supply ganja in huge quantity through vehicle and courier services, it said.
