Two persons were today arrested and country-made pistols recovered from their possession after a brief encounter, police said.
Police raided their hideouts and cordoned off the area after which Rizwan and Nadeem fired at them but were soon nabbed.
Two country-made pistols and five live and two used cartridges were recovered from their possession, they said.
An FIR was registered against them by a hotel-owner, Mukhtar Ahmed for demanding extortion amount and threatening him with dire consequences if the amount is not paid, police said.
