With the arrest of two persons, Thane police's crime branch today claimed to have busted a major racket where several people seeking jobs in the Gulf countries were duped.
Rabodi police in the city had received complaints from several persons from Uttar Pradesh in this regard, said senior inspector Devidas Gevare of crime branch.
The arrested accused were identified as Nurul Mohammad Hadis Huda Ansari (35) and Mohammad Salim Sahemadali Shah (38).

A case of cheating under section 420 of IPC was registered by Rabodi police.
The police also seized 142 passports of the applicants.
Some of the passports had been tampered with, the police found.
Some of the seized passports belonged to Nepali nationals, said inspector Gevare. Further probe is on.
