Two persons were arrested for allegedly beating a forest guard for preventing them from driving their vehicle inside a restricted area near here.
According to forest department sources, Subramani and Ashwin, running a hotel in this tourist town, had tried to enter 9th Miles, a shooting spot, a prohibited area in their car, was prevented by the guard Sathish.
In the ensued argument, both had reportedly beat Satish.
Based on the complaint, both were arrested.
