Two men were arrested here for allegedly cheating women on the pretext of shining their jewellery.
The arrested, identified as Sunil Sharma (34) and Manoj Kumar (29), used to gain entry into the house of women during day time when they were alone and cheat them on the pretext of shining their gold ornaments with a chemical powder, police said today.
Gold worth Rs two lakh and cleaning powder were recovered from them.
