Two arrested for entering IGI terminals with fake tickets

Sachin Asri, a resident of Amarpalli Apartment in I P Extension, Patpargunj was arrested by the CISF around 11.45 PM last night when he was trying to get out of the gate number 5 of the departure level of Terminal 3, a senior CISF official said.

Asri had entered in the departure terminal holding a fake paper ticket of Royal Dutch Airlines.

"He said that he had entered to see-off his mother Indra Asri who was travelling to Amsterdam by Royal Dutch Airlines flight KL 872," a CISF Spokesperson said.

When he was trying to exit from the gate, the CISF staff stopped him and as per procedure, the CISF staff asked him to come with airlines staff to sign the entry register, he said, adding then he confessed that he had entered on the basis of a fake paper ticket.

 

The CISF officials then confirmed his statement with the airlines staff, who said that there was no booking with them in the name of Sachin Asri.

Asri was then handed over to police along with the fake paper ticket for further action and an FIR was registered against him, the official said.

In another incident, one Neelesh Sharrof was apprehended from Terminal 1D of the IGI airport for entering with a fake paper ticket, the spokesperson said.

The incident occurred around 3.45 PM yesterday, when he was coming out of the terminal building after seeing off his mother, who was travelling in IndiGo flight 6E 436 to Indore, he said, adding he was also handed over to police for necessary action.
