Two arrested for killing RTV driver

Two men were arrested for allegedly killing an RTV driver who protested over their urinating in front of his in Shahabad Dairy area of Outer Delhi, police said today.

Pravin Malik (27) and Anil Dahiya (26) were arrested from a Mother Dairy booth in Lajpat Nagar area, yesterday. Parvin has a criminal history and he was in jail for five years in connection with a train dacoity from 2009 to 2014, said Ghanshaym Bansal, Additional DCP (I) of Outer Delhi police.

On the night of July 22 this year, the RTV driver Brahm alias Monu and his brother Hans Raj were stabbed by four persons when they had protested over urinating in front of their house by Navin and Pradeep. Brahm was taken to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, he said.
 

Later, an FIR of murder was registered at Shahabad Dairy police station on the complaint of Hans Raj.

In his complaint, Hans Raj stated that he saw two persons Navin and his friend (identified as Pradeep) urinating in front of their house. His brother Brahm who had just reached there protested and a quarrel started and the duo threatened to kill the two brothers.

Someone called the police and a PCR van reached the spot. Navin and Pradeep had fled from there by then.

They soon returned back alongwith two other men Pravin and Anil and attacked the two brothers with knives and ran away. Pravin is a cousin of Pradeep, the officer said.

During course of investigation police also found that Pradeep was in jail for ten years in connection with a murder case registered at Nangloi police station, added the officer.
