Two arrested for making extortion calls

Police today arrested two persons for making extortion calls to a businessman and seized pistols from their possession.

The complainant, Naveen Kumar Sharma received a call yesterday asking him to pay Rs one lakh. The callers threatened him of dire consequences if he fails to pay the amount, SP Rakesh Pandey said.

After receiving the complaint, police swung into action and nabbed the duo by tracing the addresses through their mobile phones.

Those accused have been identified as Rohit Gurjar (19) and Madan Gurjar (20), he said adding, two country made pistols and three cartridges were recovered from their possession.
