Deepak Singh and Harshwar Singh, both residents of Vijaypur, were arrested for the murder of one Narender Singh over the issue of pending payment, police officials said today.
Narender's body was found floating in the canal of Garwal village on September 27, they said adding, his throat was slit open by a sharp edged weapon.
According to police, Narender left his residence on September 24 and did not return back.
Following the initial probe and call details of Narender, the police team arrested Deepak and Harshwar.
Both arrested have admitted their involvement in the crime, officials said.

The two claimed that they strangulated Narender after intoxicating him with liquor and later the body was thrown in the canal, officials said.
Harshwar had to pay Rs 80,000 to Narender for some work, they said.
Following which, Harshwar along with Deepak hatched a conspiracy to murder Narender, police said.
