Two arrested for murdering man

Two persons have been arrested for allegedly murdering a man with whose wife their friend, was having an illicit relationship, the police today said.

The police arrested 25-year-old Prince Kumar and 35-year- old Amit, both residents of Delhi, for allegedly bludgeoning to death Alipur resident Neeraj Jha.

It said the victim was found dead lying on a road yesterday and police was informed.

During investigation, Prince was quizzed who disclosed about his involvement in the murder and also revealed the name of his associates Amit and Anuj. Amit was arrested by police which seized from his possession a motorcycle used in the crime.
 

Deputy Commissioner of Police of north east Delhi, Ajit Kumar Singla said the two arrested accused revealed that Anuj was having an illicit relation with the victim's wife.

A quarrel took place between Anuj and Jha on this issue some days ago and after this, the three accused planned to kill the victim, police said.

Anuj had also given Rs 5,000 to Prince for helping him in the conspiracy and they had called Jha in a marriage at Dayalpur here where they all consumed alcohol.

After getting drunk, the three accused attacked the victim and crushed his head with a stone, police said.

A case of murder has been lodged at Police Station Gokalpuri and efforts are being made to nab Anuj.
