Police today arrested two brothers on charge of selling fake operating systems of software company Microsoft.

The accused were carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 each on their heads, said Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Amrendra Singh today.

"We have arrested two brothers - Gaganjeet Singh Khurana (50) and Indrapal Singh Khurana (45), who were running a private firm here between 2007 and 2016. They used to procure fake operating system of Microsoft from Delhi and sold it in Indore, Sagar, Bhopal, Satna, Bina and Hoshangabad districts," he said

The official said that a local computer shop owner had registered a case of cheating against both the accused in November 2016.

They were absconding since then, he added.

"It is expected that during their interrogation, a network of persons involved in purchasing and distribution of fake operating system would be revealed. We are inquiring further into the case," Singh added.
