The city police today arrested two persons for stealing Rs 9.37 lakh while loading cash at ING Vysya Bank's ATM center at Gajuwaka here on October 11.
Additional deputy commissioner S Varadaraju said the accused M Siva Rama Krishna and K Lavakumar had been working as cash-loaders with CMS Info Systems for the last two months.
On October 11, a day before the cyclone Hudhud hit, they loaded the cash in the ATM. Later the power went out, and when it came back on, bank authorities found Rs 9.37 lakh missing from ATM.
Police today arrested the duo and recovered Rs 8.36 lakh from Siva Rama Krishna and Rs one lakh from Lavakumar.
